I've been walking Croatian mountains since before I could read a topographic map (actually, before i could read at all). Now it's my job to make sure you do it safely, confidently, and with a story worth telling.

You could say I was born in the mountains.

My father took me hiking across Croatia from the time I was four years old. Some of my earliest memories are of mountain huts, rocky trails and long days spent outdoors.

Like many people, I drifted away from the mountains during my teenage years. I found my way back in my early twenties through paragliding. After every flight came the same realization: sooner or later, you have to hike back up the mountain. Before long, hiking became more important than flying.

That passion eventually led me to complete the Alpine Climbing School of the Željezničar Mountaineering Club (Class of 2008). Along the way, I also became a certified scuba diver, and today I work as an instructor of striking martial arts at KM Centar Zagreb.

I've been exploring European mountains for over twenty years.

Based in Zagreb, I guide hiking trips across Croatia-from the forests of Medvednica above the capital, to the rugged limestone landscapes of Velebit and the dramatic coastal peaks of Biokovo. I also organize tours in Slovenia and the Alps for hikers looking to venture a little higher.

Every route I guide is one I've walked many times myself. I know where the weather changes unexpectedly, where the trail becomes less obvious, and where it's worth stopping to simply take in the view.

For me, guiding isn't about reaching the summit as quickly as possible.

It's about moving at the right pace, enjoying the journey, learning something along the way, and returning home safely-with great memories and, hopefully, a desire to head back into the mountains again.

Well... unless the group consists of a team of summit-hungry savages. That happens too. In that case, I'm all in.

Today I'm a licensed mountain guide based in Zagreb, helping people discover the mountains of Croatia, Slovenia and the Alps.

Safety always comes first. The rest follows naturally.
